Milan

Milan is not a classically beautiful city, and since the Second World War has become an economic and business hub rather than a prominent tourist destination. And yet there is much to see and do in this fascinating city - you just need to dig a little further to truly see its beauty. The Milanese enjoy life, and some of the most famous attractions in the city are leisure activities rather than grand monuments: Football at the San Siro stadium; shopping at the flagship stores of fashion greats such as Armani and Gucci; opera at La Scala; sitting at a pavement café watching the elegant and ordinary rubbing shoulders in this extraordinary city.
