Cologne

Cologne is a dynamic yet traditional city, rich in antiquity and treasures of times gone by. One of the clearest windows into Cologne's lavish history is its magnificent cathedral and it is well worth making the 157 metre climb to the topmost spire for an awe-inspiring panoramic view. Back on firm ground there are bookshops, flea markets and exclusive boutiques to explore, as well as the hundreds of theatres, museums and churches which make up Cologne's unrivalled cultural heritage. The mighty Rhine flows through the city centre and the riverside promenade is a local meeting point especially on sunny days.
