Central Europe

Central Europe is more than just a geographical term - its German translation, Mitteleuropa, has come to recall powerful images from the 19th century of revolutionaries and artists earnestly debating in coffee shops, newspapers on elaborate wooden holders and the grandeur of an age gone by. Remnants and reminders of this culture can be found across this area, as well as much more besides.
