Meet the team

Railselect is part of the Great Rail Journeys group, and we share the same central York offices - and of course have access to Great Rail Journeys' expertise and resources. The Railselect team themselves are a small group of experts - all born and raised in the York area but widely travelled.

Gary Warhurst

Railselect Manager
Gary has worked in the travel industry since leaving school, mainly in high-street travel agents. He joined Railselect as manager in 2009, and takes a hands-on approach, assisting the rest of the team in doing their jobs on top of his own managerial responsibilities.

Matt Simpson

Rail Specialist
Matt joined Great Rail Journeys in 2002, and Railselect when it was formed in 2006, and has seen the company expand tremendously in that time. His job within the team is to look after all rail bookings, advise on routings and timetables, and keep up with ongoing developments on the rails.

Clara Buczynska

Administration Specialist
Clara joined Railselect shortly after it was formed in 2006, and her job within the team is to oversee hotel bookings and contracting as well as producing documentation.

Helen Field

Tailor-Made Holiday Specialist
Helen is Railselect's most recent recruit, joining the team in 2010 after returning from the Middle East where she spent four and a half years working in Qatar. Helen's main focus is to produce holiday quotes for prospective customers and take bookings, and to support the rest of the team in their roles.
